Depending upon the treatment you receive, your visit may take as little as 15 minutes or as long as 6 hours. It is important to discuss with your doctor how long you can expect your visit to last and how frequently you will need to come.
Patient Checklist
- Please ask your physician if any temporary medical conditions, such as a cold or the flu, should prevent you from receiving your infusion.
- Because some visits may be rather long, you are more than welcome to bring small snacks or a light lunch. You may also bring an iPod, portable DVD player, magazines, etc.
- Due to the nature of the drugs administered in the Infusion Center, small children are not permitted in the room. Please make alternate arrangements for child supervision while you are at the clinic.
- In order to provide the best care and comfort for our patients, we ask that patients limit accompanying visitors to one. Visitors will wait in the waiting room during a patient’s infusion.
- If you have any additional questions about your upcoming visit, please ask your doctor or contact us at (310) 297-9269.

Upon your arrival in the clinic, a nurse will help you get situated and comfortable. Your nurse will monitor your vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart and respiration rates, etc.) and ask how you are feeling that day. Please inform the nurse if you are or have been recently ill.
Your nurse will also make sure you understand the process of infusion, what you should expect to experience during the treatment. The friendly nursing staff at Pacific Infusion Center is very knowledgeable about your therapy. The nurses are happy to get additional information or answer questions you may have about your therapy.
When you have completed your infusion, you may be asked to remain at the Clinic for a short time so the nurse can make sure you suffer no side effects from the medication. It is unlikely that you will develop a symptom after you depart the clinic, but if you do, please contact your doctor immediately.
